We do a lot of second chances in this house; every day. Sometimes third, fourth, and even fifth chances.
I have a magnet on my fridge that states "Love is an endless act of forgiveness", which I think is appropriate for every marriage. Socks on the floor...again? Forgive. Seat up...again? Forgive. Usually the forgiveness comes before I've even had a moment to feel anger over these little annoyances.
With the kids its all about second chances. Can you imagine where all of us would be had we not been given second chances? I know I would not have made it out of my teenage years without many second chances. My little guys are really pushing their boundaries right now. But its good. They're learning about consequences and second chances. Getting a chance to get it right. Figuring out who they are: the super hero or the bad guy. Thankfully, they strive for super hero status most days.

Elizabeth B. Sneak Peek | St. Louis Family and Child Photographer
She just turned ten years old. She's on Spring Break and the weather is absolutely gorgeous... How good does life get? She is a lovely young lady, alternating between ballerina twirls in her pretty dress and trying to fish worms out of the puddles and digging in the dirt with her brother. Love it! The sun was out full force so we spent a lot of time dodging the sun but I am NOT complaining about finally getting a good full day of sunshine. Thank you Michelle and Jon, your kids are great! I hope you didn't get too delayed by the St. Patrick's day traffic madness.

Enjoying it while it lasts
We rejoiced when we were done with the baby swings, bouncers, and other gear (so much more room in our house)! We were even happy to see the highchair go. Packing up the crib was a little bittersweet. I'm still in mourning over the loss of nap time. All of these things are indications that my babies are no longer babies. Every phase we fly through is one step closer to their independence and one step closer to a time where they won't need me as much as they do now.
Bath time is slowly turning in to shower time for them. Bath time used to be a bit of a chore. Now I'm starting to realize its one of those things I will miss someday. I'm going to try to hold on to this one a bit longer....

Happy First Birthday Liam | St. Louis Child and Family Photography
He must be a very special little boy because Spring put in a one-day appearance just for his first birthday photo session. This little guy has spunk and was so alert to everything around him. Oh and that little growl... hah! What a cutie! Thanks for allowing me to photograph him A - enjoy the sneak peek!

March 10 on 10
In an effort to force myself to pick up my camera during this never ending gloomy day marathon I'm joining A Bit of Sunshine's Ten on Ten today.
1. A little handprint on a fogged up window that I have no intention of cleaning
2. Daddy left his computer behind (a rare treat for the boys!)
3. Playtime downstairs
4. An hour later; still playing...
5. Lunch out with Grandma. He's getting ready to flip a frog at his brother hence the expression
6. Lunch is over; they didn't eat their fruit. Bad babies! ;)
7. They rebel against nap time. We made an attempt at quiet time. Quiet time resulted in both of them falling off the bed and getting hurt. I sang the no more monkeys jumping on the bed diddy to them (I'm such the sympathetic mommy)
8. Coloring birthday cards for Daddy. (that's a volcano drawing - he's obsessed with volcanoes)
9. He's so adamant that his underwear goes on backwards. I'm not going to argue.
10. Birthday dessert for daddy - Hershey's Pie
once a month on the tenth taking a photo an hour for ten consecutive hours. Finding much life and beauty amongst the ordinary things of our day! To participate simply visit the blog (at the link below) on the tenth of the month and add your blog to the linky party so that all can check out your day!

my only sunshine...
It sure is dreary outside. Haven't seen much of the sun in weeks it seems.
Inside the house it is dark and gloomy; makes for lousy pictures.
Its chilly outside. Its even chilly inside.
A couple weeks ago we got a chance to enjoy some sun and mild temperatures. The kids ran uphill; rolled downhill; climbed; ran; and enjoyed the wide open space! Since looking forward to Spring seems to be the equivalent of waiting for a pot of water to boil, I'm looking backwards to the sunshine we did have...
