Family of Five | St. Louis Family Photographer

We lucked out with beautiful fall weather that felt more like summer.  Three kids who were all in a great moods, two parents who know how to keep their kiddos entertained, and one bunny pez dispenser armed with bribes adds up to some sweet family portraits.

Oh, double trouble!  but the sweetness with these brothers is doubled as well...

Jack | 6 Months and Growing

I swear it was just last month I was taking pictures of Jack newly born; it is so hard to believe he is six months old already.  But there he is sitting up, all smiles, determined to eat his entire fist  :)   Six months is a fun age.  It seems like they learn something new every minute

 

I'm not the only one who thinks he's adorable... his mom and dad were obviously head over heels for him.

Lots of smiles and laughs with these three...such a happy family.

Thanks for letting me photograph this milestone.  Your family rocks!  Jack is such a cutie...goodness they grow so fast, my [not so] little ones got extra cuddles when I got home.  ;)

The Ulrich Family

A very belated post... the Holiday Season is keeping me busy!  I really adore happy families.  There are so many little moments to capture along with the "safe shots".  This awesome four year old was incredibly cute and a lot of fun to get to know...  he could give my four year old a few tips on cooperating for pictures ;)  We went to the safety of the Jewel Box to escape the dreary cold outside; it was a popular place with about a dozen other families doing photos! Thank you Ulrich Family ~  It was a pleasure meeting you and photographing your family.

Baby Girl Harper | St. Louis Newborn Photographer

At just six days old and just over six pounds this little girl is giving me baby fever big time.  Such a sweet little baby (she's also my niece, I might be a little biased, but I'm certain she is beautiful).

I am the baby whisperer :)  Put any baby in my arms (well except my own) and I will bore it to sleep.  Until I set them down... sigh.  It took a little work - if you call cuddling a baby work - to get her in to a deep sleep but once there she was putty in my hands.

Those tiny little baby feet!  She looks a lot like her brothers when they were babies in this one...

 
Hello squishy baby lips....

I definitely have baby fever.  My husband does not.  So if you know of any soon to be born babies that need photos done please send them my way.  I need a baby fix :)

Elizabeth B. Sneak Peek | St. Louis Family and Child Photographer

She just turned ten years old.  She's on Spring Break and the weather is absolutely gorgeous... How good does life get?  She is a lovely young lady, alternating between ballerina twirls in her pretty dress and trying to fish worms out of the puddles and digging in the dirt with her brother. Love it!  The sun was out full force so we spent a lot of time dodging the sun but I am NOT complaining about finally getting a good full day of sunshine.  Thank you Michelle and Jon, your kids are great!  I hope you didn't get too delayed by the St. Patrick's day traffic madness.

Happy First Birthday Liam | St. Louis Child and Family Photography

He must be a very special little boy because Spring put in a one-day appearance just for his first birthday photo session.  This little guy has spunk and was so alert to everything around him.  Oh and that little growl... hah!  What a cutie!  Thanks for allowing me to photograph him A - enjoy the sneak peek!

Bribes work...

I can never get my boys to sit still for the camera. I can rarely get them to look at the camera. I bribed them with Halloween candy. It worked. Boys sitting still (briefly). Boys looking at the camera (the pics with the less than thrilled looks on their faces didn't make the cut). I love the candid shots but sometimes it's nice to see their pretty little eyes gazing out from the picture). Now if only I could get them to sit still next to each other and look at the camera...

Kaleb and Kinsley Sneak Peek | St. Louis Family Photography

Here's a family I was really excited to do photos for.  I've seen them go from dating to family of four and boy do they make cute kids!  Little sister Kinsley is Miss Independent at 1 1/2 years old.  Look at those big brown eyes!

And big brother Kaleb... This guy is really cool.  Protective of his little sister like a big brother should be and so sweet.  He's the same age as my oldest and sometimes when they play together I can almost picture them 10 years from now as teenagers.

And the whole family. Family of four.  You guys have come a long way and you've done it well.  Your family is beautiful and so much fun!

Grace and Owen Sneak Peek | St. Louis Family Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing these two siblings. Their mom and dad went for a walk and I got to spend some time alone with them.  Grace is smart and funny and will definitely be an athlete of some sort... or in the entertainment industry. And man can she climb a tree!  Owen is a 3 year old that actually listened to me - enough said? Nope, he's also a charmer and totally dug my jokes - I like these kids.  I really hope that my kids are this well behaved when they're not with me.

Dara, I know you didn't intend on being in the pictures but really you're a beautiful mom. The ones with you in them are some of my favorite pics of your kids.

MKD sneak peek | St. Louis Child Photographer

Today I got to photograph three sisters.  These girls are absolutely gorgeous and fun!  I was really feeling quite content with the size of my family - two boys suits us just fine.  But after these pictures I'm kind of wishing I had a girl.  Beautiful weather this morning but wet grass everywhere; we managed just fine.  I'm pretty sure I could put these girls in front of a dumpster and they'd prettify it.  It was really hard to even choose which pictures to put up so I let my kid choose.  Here's the oldest sister:

And the middle sister.  Same gorgeous blue eyes; just add curls...

And baby sister.  She is a firecracker!  One is such a lovely age.  Its too bad one year olds are so hard to capture in a picture.  Video is probably the way to go.  

We didn't get professional pictures of our oldest son from the time he was 9 months until he was 2 years.  We tried. We took him to the studio - they tried. We have a lot of pictures of the back of his head from that era.  Trying to catch pictures of baby sister here reminded me a lot of those days.
